S.T.E.A.M. Education
STEAM Education emphasizes a way of teaching and learning that focuses on hands-on inquiry and exploration. It is a shift away from the teacher presenting information and covering science topics to the teacher guiding and assisting students in problem-solving while encouraging them to take the lead in their own learning. (Cameron & Craig, 2016)
Our STEAM course will focus on agricultural science, with students working to grow and maintain plants in a variety of ways.

Your success, and that of our class, depends on your ability to participate in blended & collaborative learning!  Our class will consist of a combination or blending of working collaboratively with other students, independently online and at your own pace, and with your teacher in both large/small groups to solve problems, complete tasks, or create products.  Each student is individually accountable for their own work, and the work of the group as a whole (Cameron & Craig, 2016).  
In order for our class to create a successful blended & collaborative learning environment, it is expected that each student will be:
Respectful in their actions and attitude towards your partners, other teams, your teacher, our classroom work space, and the environment.
Responsible for following the class expectations, including Chromebook Use & Care Policy at all times. Responsible to stay focused to complete tasks with quality work.
Ready to Learn by having all required *class materials each day and following all class and task directions/procedures.
