Child Outreach Screening
For children aged 3-5
Child Outreach is a free service sponsored by the Rhode Island Department of Education and offered through the North Providence School Department. Child Outreach is a screening program designed for all children between the ages of three and five. Families receive information about their child’s development after participating in the program. The information is gathered in two ways. First, children participate in a brief screening program conducted by trained personnel. Screening takes about 45 minutes to complete. It is a series of game-like activities that check your child’s vision, hearing, general development, and speech and language development. Second, families complete two questionnaires about their child’s development in everyday activities (Family Questionnaire and Ages & Stages Questionnaire: Social-Emotional).
